about
"I came across Flogging Reel when searching for an energetic folk tune to compliment the sound of the silver flute. Although all the original versions I heard were on fiddles, the breezy, three-part melody instantly won me over and soon the rest of the Tribe were smitten too.
There are conflicting views as to its origins with some indicating Irish roots and others believing it may have originated in Scotland where it is known as Flagon Reel. Regardless, we tinkered up an arrangement to light up our own dark London days and we now think of it as our happiest track!"
